Andrea Stramaccioni: I'm sure that Wesley can make me change my mind

Inter Milan head coach Andrea Stramaccioni has hinted that Netherlands international Wesley Sneijder may remain with the Nerazzuri after all.

The 28-year-old has not played for Inter since September because of a contract dispute and had been thought to be heading out of the San Siro in January, with AC Milan, Paris St Germain and Tottenham all reportedly interested in securing his services.

Sneijder, who won the treble under Jose Mourinho in 2010, has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract but is unhappy with Inter's request that he take a two million euro cut on his annual salary.

United keep City at bay

Both Manchester United and Manchester City picked up maximum points on New Year's Day, as United maintain their seven-point lead at the top of the table.

United, who have made a strong start to the Premier League campaign, cruised to a 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium thanks to braces from Javier Hernandez and the league’s leading goalscorer Robin van Persie.

Meanwhile back in Manchester, the defending English champions City romped to a 3-0 win over Stoke City, who have been a bogie side for the Citizens in the past.

With the boom that newspapers and internet had the recent years, a lot of jobs became available for betting and generally for online gambling for people who had to cover several columns. Lately technology even brought tips via mobile phone. Wherever you are, you can be updated at any time for the games you want to bet, with analysis, recommendations and more.

The options are endless and the competition high. Now there is no newspaper that does not have its own insert for betting. Journalists, and there are not the only, specialize in certain leagues. The same process occurs and on websites,

Sir Alex Ferguson: We need a Nani.

Portugal international Nani will not be sold in the January transfer window, according to Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old who has struggled to retain a regular starting spot in Ferguson's team this season.

His last appearance came almost two months ago in the Champions League victory at Braga.

Nani joined United from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2007 for £25million and has gone on to score 25 goals in 131 Premier League appearances for the club.

Newcastle swoop for Debuchy

Newcastle have agreed a £5.5m deal to sign Lille full-back Mathieu Debuchy.

Alan Pardew has agreed a fee for Mathieu Debuchy.

The 27-year-old has been a long-term target of Newcastle boss Alan Pardew, and is now set to make his way to Tyneside once January's transfer window opens next week.

News that a deal has been agreed will be music to the ears of Magpies fans, who have seen their side struggle badly this season due to poor form and injuries to key players.
